One-Day Teacher Workshops
Shakespeare wrote his plays to be performed, never dreaming that 400 years later they would be the revered classic literature of scholars and English students around the world. Hands On Shakespeare teacher workshops are designed to help educators continue to develop their skills in teaching Shakespeare, and "The Play's The Thing" workshops in 2010-2011 provide an opportunity for educators to get up close and personal with the works of Shakespeare. In a relaxed, collaborative environment, educators will become more comfortable with Shakespeare as performance.
Participants Will
bring Shakespeare off the page and on the stage of your classroom
build confidence in your entire Shakespeare curriculum
develop a deeper understanding of Shakespeare's language
gain practical ideas to reach every student in the classroom
put the PLAY back in Shakespeare!

"So extraordinarily well done! Effectiveness and good humor are a rare combination, and your kindness and consideration to boot made it a great pleasure. All the material was new to me, and I think I 'got' most of it. I feel as though I've been given a great gift."
"This was a superb experience! Practical material, well-prepared and presented"
"The seminar was highly valuable. Instructors were well-prepared and enthusiastic. Do it again! Do it again!"
"When I first heard about the workshop I was hesitant. I lack acting experience. From the first moment of contact I felt invited. Activities were informative, fun, and I feel confident enough to try some of the activities."
