Sponsorships play a vital role in NCShakes' success by helping underwrite productions and programs. These projects make it possible for us to serve more than 50,000 students and citizens annually in our community, region and state.

In addition to our MainStage season and annual production of A Christmas Carol, NCShakes offers a number of Outreach & Education programs. In recent years, sponsors have supported:

• Shakespeare To Go school tours – the region's premier in-school Shakespeare performance experience for grades 3-12
• ShakeSpirit – teaching artists in classrooms statewide
• Hands On Shakespeare – workshops for educator recertification credits
• SchoolFest – matinees exclusively for student audiences
• Signed Performances – ASL-assisted performances for hearing impaired audiences
• ForeWords/AfterWords – preshow/postshow discussions with scholars and actors
• SummerStage – annual camps and workshops for ages 5-17
• Youth Theatre – a season of plays for young performers and professional mentors
• Teen Ensemble – young ambassadors of NCShakes who perform at community events
